Congregational Voting Delegates
Every two years congregations from our Region are required to send representatives to join as a decision-making body to vote for new Regional Board members and consider any other Regional business.
According to the Bylaws of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Oklahoma, voting representatives from the congregation is based upon participating membership as reported in the latest Year Book and Directory. Please call the Regional Office at (405) 528-3577 to obtain this information if you do not have a Year Book.
- Each congregation shall be entitled to three (3) lay voting representatives plus one (1) additional lay voting representative for each three hundred (300) members or major fraction thereof over the first three hundred (300).
- Each congregation, in selecting its representatives, shall seek to maintain a balance of lay men, lay women, and youth.
Clergy Voting Delegates
Ordained and commissioned ministers in the Oklahoma Region whose ministerial standing is certified by the Regional Church.
