Planning for our Summer Camp program has already begun! There are many pieces to fit together to make the summer camp season a success. The Region does not own a camp and conference facility so a part of the puzzle is securing dates at the sites that the Region uses to host our program. The Summer Ministry Team is excited to announce the dates for summer camp.

The CYYA Intersection tells Disciples stories and provide resources for those that work and service this missional age group in our congregations.

IAS is a study trip experience for CYF age youth in grades 11-12. This trip has become very popular in the past
5 years, and usually sells out the day registration opens. Amazing! The Registration Link will open at 9am on Monday, August 1. Yes, that is tomorrow.

IAS 2017 is limited to 25 youth that will be accompanied by 5-6 adults that serve as conversation partners, guides, and co-learners about the study topic.
Youth will travel to Washington DC and New York City for the 2017 IAS (International Affairs Seminar) March 10-18. The study trip is for youth in grades 11-12.
Students study a topic that is relevant to being a citizen and a person who claims Christian faith. Youth return to their congregations with an informed perspective that can help shape their view of the world and their practice of Christianity.
The week long experience offers opportunity to build friendships with other Disciples youth and sponsors.
Online registration opens August 1 and closes Oct. 1. The trip is limited to 25 youth.

The Oklahoma Conference of Churches will be conducting its 9th annual Interfaith Youth Tour in Oklahoma City on September 25.
The tour will have stops at East Sixth Street Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Masjid Mu’min, and Vien Giac Buddhist Temple.
The tour will educate the participants on aspects of Christianity, Islam and Buddhism. It will explore the historically African-American congregations of East Sixth Street Christian Church and Masjid Mu’min.
The $15 registration fee includes transportation and snacks. Youth groups, schools and organizations are welcome.
