August 27, 2019: Central Area Disciples Women Meeting

Central Area Disciples Women Meeting will take place on August 27, 2019 at First Christian Church El Reno (409 S Barker, El Reno). Please RSVP by August 20th to 405-262-3539. Fellowship and coffee will begin at 9:30am. The program will include information about the Reach Forward Foundation, as well as an in-kind project to help provide Walmart gift cards for the Reach Forward Foundation.

April 6: Northeast Oklahoma Disciples Women 2019 Spring General Meeting

You are invited to join the Northeast Oklahoma Disciples Women for the 2019 Spring General Meeting. The meeting will take place on April 6, 2019 at 10am at Bethany Christian Church located at 6730 S. Sheridan Road, Tulsa, OK.

Dr. Ellen Blue, of Phillips Theological Seminary will speak about her attributes in her book, In Case of Katrina, which studies rebuilding vs reinventing church after a disaster.

Cost $10 at the door (includes box lunch)

Would you like to help make finger labyrinths to be given away at General Assembly 2019? This will provide an opportunity for General Assembly attendees to feel the far-reaching witness of our Disciples Women. (Disciples Women from across the United States will be joining us in this project.)

2019 Woman-to-Woman Journey to Morocco: Submit Your Application Now

While the Woman-to-Woman Worldwide journey isn’t a ‘hands-on’ mission, it does offer a way to respond to the call for Disciples women to experience solidarity with one another, to affirm the unity of the church in Jesus Christ, and to join the common struggle for justice and peace in the world today by educating and advocating for those needs. These international, ecumenical, and personal experiences encourage faithful women to see the world through new eyes and bring that perspective back to their congregation and community. An integral part of the post-journey experience is giving presentations about their experiences and sharing what they have learned with others.
