Rev. Dr. William (Bill) Inglish was recognized for his years of ministerial excellence by the alumni of Phillips Theological Seminary with the Frank H. Marshall Award. The presentation took place during the annual “Remind & Renew” event at Phillips Theological Seminary on January 28, 2021.

FCC Hennessey Receives Faithful Partners Award

First Christian Church Hennessey, Oklahoma received the first “Faithful Partners Award” from Phillips Theological Seminary on January 28, 2021 during the seminary’s Remind & Renew event. It honors the 50+ years of service and giving to Phillips University and Phillips Theological Seminary.

Phillips Seminary Announces: DOC History & Polity Class Beginning August 2020

Phillips Theological Seminary will be offering a Disciples of Christ History & Polity course, the week of August 3-7. (As of now, this class will be offered on campus. Should this need to transition online, you will be notified.) The course will be taught by Dr. Lisa Barnett and is open to auditors and those seeking academic credit. Phillips Seminary will be accepting applications through Friday, July 10.

Phillips University, Inc. (PU) is pleased to offer a merit based Seminary scholarship program for full-time, first year seminarians who are pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree, are committed to pastoral ministry and will attend one of the following Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) affiliated seminaries or foundation homes:

January 23-24, 2020: Remind & Renew

Registration for Remind & Renew 2020 is now open. Remind & Renew, At the Intersection of Jesus and Justice, will take place on January 23–24, 2020 at Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Throughout history, Christian churches have deliberated on the definition of justice in the context of Christianity. Two Phillips Theological Seminary faculty members, Dr. Ellen Blue and Dr. Richard Ward, will explore the relationship between the two during the Remind and Renew Conference.

The Rev. Alexis Carter Thomas will preach for Remind & Renew 2020. In a special evening event, Dr. Charles Kimball will present a talk on Jan. 23 in the evening.
