How To Help

At the Tulsa SPCA you will be either painting the night kennels for the dogs or walking dogs and socializing (playing with) dogs and helping them socialize with others dogs. 15-20 people will be painting and 20-25 people will be helping with the animals.

Community Food Bank

How To Help

Help repackage and sort donated food and other grocery items in the Product Recovery Room at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma before it is distributed to our 450 Partner Programs. These Partner Programs then distribute the donated items to the hungry in the Eastern part of Oklahoma.

Physical Requirements: Standing for long periods of time

HACC Community Garden

How To Help

Do you have a green thumb? Do you like to weed or water plants? Then join us at Harvard Avenue Christian Church during Regional Assembly Missions to work in the community garden by pulling weeds and watering plants. 9am-12pm

Physical Requirements: Sitting/kneeling for long periods of time
Attire: Gardening clothes
Items to Bring (optional): Gardening gloves and watering cans

Oklahoma Blood Institute

How To Help

Oklahoma Blood Institute is the local non-profit, blood bank that provides blood products to almost 90% of the state of Oklahoma’s hospital facilities.

Stamp Out Starvation

How To Help

Stamp Out Starvation is a non-profit organization in Cherokee, Oklahoma whose mission is to provide fully nutritious food to impoverished children through partnerships with humanitarian organizations in the USA and worldwide. They are able to accomplish this by organizing community and youth volunteer packaging events of Stamp Out Starvation’s highly nutritious meals.

Each Stamp Out Starvation food package is based off of a rice and soy casserole that is fortified with 21 essential vitamins and minerals, six dehydrated vegetables, and chicken flavoring. This soy (52% protein) and nutrient-rich formula reverses the starvation process.

Come and help make food packages during Regional Assembly at First Christian Church Tulsa.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time while adding items to the packages.

Attire: Gloves and hair nets (will be provided on site)

Oxley Nature Center

How To Help

Join us at the Oxley Nature Center at Mohawk Park to help clean trails and brush for local hikers.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to endure long periods of standing, walking some distance, bending over to pick up items in outdoors.

Attire: closed toe shoes required. Long pants, hat and sunscreen recommend.

What to bring: water bottle, $2 for parking per car, work gloves (optional)

Emergency Infant Services

How To Help

Emergency Infant Services (EIS) has long served the critical needs of infants and toddlers in the greater Tulsa area, serving more than 17,000 each year. EIS provides clothing, food, formula or diapers and other essentials as emergency assistance and also partners with local hospitals and other non-profit groups to assist with other items to keep infants safe. In celebration and solidarity with their efforts to serve the needs of our youngest, we have been invited to help sort and organized items such as clothing they receive for distribution to those children with need.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time while sorting and organizing items.

Church World Service

How To Help

Join us at FCC Tulsa to assemble a Church World Service Hygiene Kits or just bring the following items to Regional Assembly and sign up for another project!

Hygiene Kits include:

  • One hand towel measuring approximately 16′′x 28′′(no fingertip or bath towels)
  • One washcloth
  • One wide-tooth comb
  • One nail clipper
  • One bar of soap (bath size in wrapper)
  • One toothbrush (in original packaging)
  • Six standard size Band-Aids®

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time while adding items to the packages.

FCC Tulsa Snack Packs

How To Help

Join us to help make what FCC Tulsa calls “Snack Packs” to feed the downtown hungry. Snack Packs are handed out at FCC Tulsa 3 days a week to help feed hungry people. We will pack 1,000-1,200 meals during Regional Assembly.

Physical Requirements: Stand/Sit long periods of time while using arms to pack sacks

Attire: No Requirements

Items to Bring (optional):

  • Cases of bottle water
  • Gallon size ziplock bags
  • Chewy granola bars
  • Cases of vienna sausages
  • Snack size chip bags
  • Cases of individual applesauce cups
