Healthy Boundaries Training 101 and 201 Required for Standing

The Commission on Clergy has established its policy for the second phase of Healthy Boundaries training. In Oklahoma, clergy are required to complete a Healthy Boundaries seminar or its equivalent every three years. The purpose of this training is to equip clergy and staff to understand the importance of healthy boundaries in ministry and to critically discern the complexities of boundaries in pastoral relationships. Click here to read the full policy.

Effective Now – Healthy Boundaries 201
The second phase of the policy is in effect now and requires clergy to take the Healthy Boundaries 201 Seminar within 40 months (3 1/2 years) of having taken the 101 Seminar, and thereafter every three years. Completing this training is a requirement for standing for active and retired-active clergy.

Schedule & Cost
The Healthy Boundaries 201 Seminar will be offered twice a year in the spring and fall. Click HERE to view the schedule. The classes are open to everyone statewide and will be held at the Regional office in Oklahoma City. The cost is $70 and counts as 7 contact hours of continuing education.

Healthy Boundaries 101
The first phase of HB 101 training was gradually implemented across the Region over the last three years. If you have not taken the 101 Seminar you may register for the September 2018 session. From this point forward it will only be offered once annually. It is a prerequisite to the 201 Seminar.
