Congratulations to The Rev. Dr. Chris Shorow who graduated on Saturday, May 20, 2018 with his Doctorate of Ministry from Phillips Theological Seminary. Rev. Dr. Chris Shorow has been the Senior Minister of First Christian Church of Edmond, OK since August of 2002.
Disciples clergy are invited to Roman Nose State Park this September for rest, continuing education, and connection to colleagues who share the call to ministry. The Northwest Area Cabinet sponsors and organizes the clergy retreat, and it is underwritten by the generous giving of Northwest Area congregations; and a grant from the Oklahoma Disciples Foundation.

Winter Talk 2018, is a three-day conversation on the Christian Doctrine of Discovery and Indigenous Justice, and how both influence Disciple theology and polity. Hosted by Yakama Christian Mission’s Council and Brite Divinity School, Winter Talk is dedicated to furthering the conversation on the Christian Doctrine of Discovery and its dismantling.
This year’s keynote speaker is Chase Iron Eyes, a member of the Lakota People’s Law Project and a co-founder of the Native American news website Last Real Indians.

Dr. Nancy Pittman, the Dean at PTS. Nancy will join us during lunch with four of her Capstone Course students for an engaging conversation.
